He I told him the which lights were on and that the diagnostics showed the engine was misfiring on all cylinders. I also told him that was not the case. The engine was running smoothly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said, &#8220;It&#8217;ll be $160 to do diagnostics.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I replied, the diagnostics were already done, could you please just flash the ECU? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was informed that they couldn&#8217;t do anything unless they performed the diagnostics themselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I said, Fine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ninety minutes later, the service guy comes out and tells me the right rear ABS sensor needed to be replaced. OBTW, that&#8217;ll be another $300. Apparently they can&#8217;t complete the diagnostic until they replace they sensor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I bought all four ABS speed sensors for the Jetta for $25.00 the original Volkswagen part just cost me $206.99. Nearly 4000% more than the after market part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I spent over an hour trying to remove the driver side rear ABS sensor and just couldn&#8217;t get the thing out. I have successfully changed out both of the front ABS sensors, I had to drill them both out. It was a serious pain.
